driemanDaniel Lee Riemann, age 25 of Lansing Kansas, died May 11, 2008 in Kansas City, Missouri as a victim of a hit and run car incident.


Daniel was born September 25, 1982 in Hays Kansas to Kelly and Kevin Riemann. He attended Lansing Kansas public schools and graduated from Lansing High School in 2001. Daniel attended the University of Kansas and

graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the William Allen White School of Journalism in 2005. Upon graduation, he worked for the Banana Republic clothing store and was recently promoted as manager of the Oak Park Mall Banana Republic.


Daniel was considered a friend to everyone he met. His imagination was boundless and his creativity drove his personal and professional life. His passion in life was travel, art, clothing, and his family and friends. Most of all, he enjoyed the company of others.


Daniel was a devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Harold Riemann of Norton, Kansas. He is survived by his parents, Kelly Riemann of Lansing and Kevin Riemann of Topeka, brothers Wesley and Alex Riemann, sister Leah Riemann, and cherished cousin Katie Smith, all of Lansing. Surviving grandparents include Patricia and Paul Deiter of Lansing and Joan Riemann of Norton,

Kansas. Aunts/Uncles include David Riemann and Monica Wilson of Norton and Jody Smith of Colorado Springs, CO. Cousins Ben, Leslie, and Maggie Smith, as well as Vanessa Conkle all of Colorado Springs.


Through his travels abroad and his life at home, Daniel touched the lives and opened his heart to all he met. His spirit of brotherhood and hope will be his legacy to all who loved him.


A rosary will be recited at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Davis Funeral Chapel followed by a visitation from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. A Celebration of LIfe will begin at 7:00 PM at the funeral chapel.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Friday, May 16, 2008 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Norton, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Norton City Cemetery.


In liue of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Lansing Kansas Scholarship Fund c/o Steve Wagoner, 307 S. 5th, Leavenworth Kansas.
